Open Society Foundations (OSF)

Open Society Foundations is an international grantmaking network founded as a philanthropic endeavour by businessman George Soros in 1979. The Open Society Foundations conduct in-depth research into specific thematic and geographic areas to inform change through grant making, advocacy, litigation, educational initiatives, publications, and conferences, among other tools.

About the partnership

The Open Society Foundations have provided valuable support to NORRAG Special Issue and the NORRAG blog since 2014, as well as core funding since 2015. OSF also supports the ongoing series Philanthropy in Education.
