2023 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report on Technology and Education
The 2023 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report will examine education challenges to which appropriate use of technology can offer solutions, while recognizing that many of the solutions proposed may also be detrimental.
UNESCO are also opening an online consultation on this concept note and the shape of future PEER country profiles on technology and education, as well as a call for expressions of interest to contribute to the Report, the aim of which is to broaden the scope of expertise and voices that inform our work.
The report will examine topics such as the issues of access, quality, and inclusion in education, how quality can be improved, both in terms of teaching and learning basic skills, the challenges of technology development, and the role of technology in system management.
