21 April 2020: UNESCO-NORRAG Futures of Education Dialogues (postponed)
Due to the recent Covid-19 measures taken at the Graduate Institute, this event is postponed. More information will follow shortly.
In conjunction with the Geneva UN@75 Dialogues, UNESCO and NORRAG will hold a bilingual English-French one-day event on the Futures of Education at the Graduate Institute, Geneva.
Opening remarks will be delivered by:
- Stefania Giannini, UNESCO’s Assistant Director-General for Education
- E. Mr António Nóvoa, Ambassador of Portugal to UNESCO and member of the International Commission on the Futures of Education
Two panels will then allow leading global experts, youth voices, and the international Geneva community to engage in a dialogue on targeted topics pertinent to the Futures of Education:
- Education and the Future of Data, Knowledge and Research (11:00-13:00)
- Education and the Future of Conflict, Emergency and Fragility (14:30-16:30)
Dr. Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University and special adviser to the UN Secretary-General on the SDGs, will be our special guest for an evening keynote lecture (18:30-20:00).
