UNESCO is pleased to invite you to the first seminar of a series dedicated to digital competencies for teachers and school students in Member States of the Group of 77 plus China (G77+China). This first regional seminar will focus on Arab States. It will be held online via Zoom on 22-23 April 2024.
Building on a number of UNESCO policy guides in digital education, the seminar will inform Member States on the development of digital competency frameworks for teachers, drawing upon the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework for Teachers and the upcoming UNESCO AI competency frameworks (for teachers and for school students). It will also offer a platform for Arab States from the G77+China to share experiences and best practices in developing digital competencies for teachers and school students within their respective national contexts.
Participants will include representatives from Ministries of Education and relevant governmental agencies, UNESCO representatives and international experts.
Interpretation will be provided in English and Arabic over the two days.
