Webinar Among Teachers : Challenges to the Right to Education from Authoritarian Movements
This webinar is part of a series or regional events organised in partnership with the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil), with the Research Group on Education Policy and Teaching Work (GESTRADO). The webinars aim to establish a dialogue between research, practice and educational policy addressing contemporary education challenges, disseminating scientific knowledge in the field of education and promoting a broad and collaborative debate with an international scope and reach.
This second webinar will explore the rising influence of authoritarian conservative groups on education policy and practice, examining the challenges imposed for democratic, inclusive and rights-based education for all students. It will count with Iana Gomes de Lima, Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and Salomão Ximenes, Assistant Professor at the Federal University of ABC.

Seminário Entre Docentes : Desafios ao Direito à Educação frente a Movimentos Conservadores
Este webinário faz parte de uma série de eventos regionais organizados em parceria com a Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG – Brasil), com o Grupo de Estudos sobre Política Educacional e Trabalho Docente (GESTRADO). Os seminários online têm como objetivo estabelecer um diálogo entre pesquisa, prática e política educacional abordando os desafios contemporâneos da educação, disseminando conhecimento científico na área da educação e promovendo um debate amplo e colaborativo com escopo e alcance internacional.
Este segundo webinário explorará a crescente influência de grupos conservadores autoritários na política e prática educacional, examinando os desafios impostos a uma educação democrática, inclusiva e baseada em direitos para todos os estudantes.
