A Geneva policy dialogue for impact: country solutions on education in emergencies and climate change

The event will take place at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, in Room V, and online on Friday 8 November from 10.30 am to 12 noon CET.
One year after the launch of the EiE Hub 2023 flagship report on education in emergencies and climate change, and just ahead of COP29, the event will showcase country solutions that work to guarantee the continuity of education in the face of the climate crisis. It will also demonstrate the vital role of education in climate action, and explore and build on the EiE Hub’s Key Education Messages ahead of COP29. Opening remarks by Ambassador Jürg Lauber, Permanent representative of Switzerland to the UN in Geneva, will be followed by a panel discussion including representatives of the Permanent Missions of Kenya, Pakistan, UK, as well as speakers of the World Bank and the Special Rapporteur on climate change.
