New RTE Guide on Monitoring Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) from a Human Rights Perspective: Launch and Workshop Invitation
The Right to Education Initiative (RTE) is announcing the launch of its new guide: Monitoring Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) from a Human Rights Perspective. The guide will be launched during an online event on Wednesday 16 April 2025 at 11:00 CET.
This guide is the latest in RTE’s series of thematic monitoring tools and complements the existing online monitoring guide and indicator selection tool, which provide a step-by-step methodology for monitoring education issues through a human rights lens.
Focus: ECCE and Human Rights
The newly released ECCE guide is designed as a practical resource to support those advocating for the realization of young children’s right to Early Childhood Care and Education. It outlines key human rights indicators related to ECCE and offers targeted guidance to monitor ECCE either holistically or within specific contexts.
What to Expect at the Launch Event
The online launch will feature:
-
A presentation by the RTE team highlighting the guide’s key features
-
Reflections from ECCE experts and practitioners on the guide’s practical applications
-
An open Q&A session for attendees
Follow-Up Workshop
An online workshop will follow on Thursday 24 April 2025, from 11:00 to 13:00 CET. This workshop will offer an in-depth orientation to the guide’s components and demonstrate how to apply the ECCE monitoring framework in different policy and advocacy contexts.
