Innovative EduFinance Learning Group
Experts from NORRAG have been contributing to a learning group on innovative financing for education, organised by the Education Finance Network (EFN) and the Education Outcomes Fund (EOF). The “Innovative EduFinance Learning Group” brings together key stakeholders interested or engaged in innovative financing for education, including donors and multilateral agencies, research organisations, foundations, intermediaries and fund managers.
Among the themes discussed in the learning group are outcomes-based financing for employability, foundational learning, early childhood care and education. Rich discussions have been taking place regarding existing evidence and experiences regarding outcome measurement, multi-sectoral collaboration and sustainability in these types of funding arrangements. The group will also touch upon innovative financing for education (IFE) mechanisms such as blended finance and debt swaps.
NORRAG’s role in this learning group is to contribute expertise on IFE, share relevant resources for each thematic session, and provide critical reflections on what we know and what we do not know yet on whether, and under which conditions OBF is effective in meeting education sector challenges.
