Call for Contributions - NORRAG Policy Insights #05
In the lead up to the once-in-a-generation United Nations Summit of the Future, NORRAG is editing a collection of short pieces on meaningful youth engagement in United Nations and national or local governance processes. We believe it is essential that decision-makers listen to your invaluable perspectives as they determine how to forge a new international consensus on how we deliver a better present and safeguard the future. We would welcome your contribution to our forthcoming Policy Insights collection focused on improving meaningful youth engagement.
With this collection, we are seeking to make sure that we can get your expertise in front of international decision makers and non-expert audiences, and advance world-changing practices on youth engagement from a theoretical and practice-based perspective.
NORRAG’s Policy Insights (The Digitalisation of Education, Refugee Teachers: the Heart of the Global Refugee Response, Policy Insights – Models of Philanthropy in Education, AI and Digital Inequities – forthcoming) are notable for their high-level visibility. Previous Policy Insights have been distributed in fora including the UN General Assembly 2023, Global Refugee Forum, Swiss International Cooperation Forum, Education Cannot Wait conference, CIES 2022, UKFIET 2023, UNESCO Digital Learning Week 2023, and more.
We are looking for a piece of around 700-800 words touching on meaningful youth engagement in United Nations and national or local governance processes. We are open to diverse and varied interpretations of this overarching theme.
Please note that NORRAG strives to be as inclusive as possible, and is open to receiving pieces in languages other than English. We are also seeking to prioritise pieces which encompass perspectives from young people/leaders in the Global South and marginalised communities the world over.
Should you wish to submit a piece, or require any clarifications about this Policy Insights collection please email carolina.earle@graduateinstitute.ch and cc norrag.publications@graduateinstitute.ch to be in touch with our editors. We seek that first drafts are completed by 3 April 2024.
