Program Officer - Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is recruiting for a Program Officer – Global Partnership for Education Knowledge and Innovation Exchange. The goal of the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange program is to improve developing country’s policy and practice to strengthen national education systems, strengthen their capacity to more routinely integrate new knowledge and innovations into policy and practice at appropriate scales, tapping into national and regional knowledge generation. The Knowledge and Innovation Exchange is a USD$76.5m initiative of the Global Partnership for Education and Canada’s International Development Research Centre.

The Program Officer will report to the Program Leader based in Ottawa and work under the supervision of the Regional Director. He/she will bring to the team regional and educational expertise that may be applied to IDRC work on education research and innovation.

Competences: insights on the role of public-school systems in development, particularly in Asia and the Pacific, and how research and innovation can help to improve education outcomes. Knowledge of how cross-cutting issues such as gender, data systems, teaching and learning, and learning assessment systems influence the equity and quality of education delivery. Experience working with a diverse set of education stakeholders including Ministries of Education, teachers’ organizations, multilaterals, UN agencies, CSOs, and private sector actors.
